Photography Sunday

Had visitors all day today who were all willing victims (I mean models). Its lovely to have people who don't groan when you whip the camera outs.

This is my brother and his family and also Skyla.

David

Look who came to play today. Mind you when mummy ran off for lunch and left him in Nanas office, he wasn't too pleased. Did manage to get him to drop off but then took his mums advice of putting him the car seat when he decided to wake up again.

Anyway not great shots but look at those lashes.

Skating

What a brilliant day. Went to Canary Wharf Ice Rink today and was so proud of the kids. My two great nieces Sophie (aged just 3) and Isobel got on the ice for the first time and skated. Really skated. Let go of the sides and skated. It was great. Bradley has skated before and shot around all over the place. Wayne spent about 5 minutes with Andrew and he skated too. I really thought that after about 1/2 hour they would have had enough but no, they loved it. It was fabulous to see Ian with his the grandchildren and generally a lovely day. Hope we do it again soon.

Funky hair Friday

Bradley and Andrews school had a funky hair day when the kids could wear wigs, style their hair in as whacky a way as possible so long as they didn't use hair colour. Well we have no wigs and to be honest Bradleys is a tad too short to play with. So off we took him to the local barbers for some hair art. He loves it but wasn't too happy about being forced to have his pics taken.

A day trip

On Sunday we decided to take the boys into town. Andrew had watched a film about Oliver Cromwell on telly with his dad so was asking about Parliament. We took him to see Cromwells' sculpture and a few other famous landmarks. My landscape photography is not great as it doesn't appeal to me but still had fun while we were out and about.

Grandad

Don't get many pictures of my husband and he doesn't like having his picture taken but had to get this shot when he and David and little nap.

Brings back memories from when Bradley and Andrew were babies.

Photoshop

David is a whole 16 days old now and mummy was a bit tired today after a restless night. Candice bought David round then had a sleep here while I have a play. Bless his heart he fell sound asleep and I very quickly got some shots done. Been playing with various photoshop actions today (something I haven't done for a while) Hope you like the results.

Alex

I can't believe how long it has been since I took pictures. Biking ridings not helping as I can't take my camera to work on the days I ride my bike. Luckily my niece came round today and as always was up for a photography session.

We had a bit of a laugh and I was happy with a few of the shots.

Blue Backgrounds

Been playing today. Ikea material as a background. Loving the results especially of moody Andrew. I need more pics of him like this as it is so typically him. When he gets moody it just makes us laugh, which unfortunately makes him even more moody.

Knocking a Ball About

Boys haven't been out and about much this weekend so took them and a football up the hill, on to the heath.
It was a chilly but bright afternoon.
Had fun trying to get some action shots but love this shot of Bradley sitting on the ball while he waited for Andrew to go reluctantly into the goal.

Millie

Another shot from the wedding at the weekend. Had to clone out an arm then used a fab action to convert this. I did the action twice and really liked the effect.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hartley

My beautiful niece Zowie finally married Ben on Saturday. After 7 years and three beautiful daughters Ben made a honest women of her and I have never seen anyone look quite so happy. I was disappointed with a lot of the pictures I took which only goes to tell me what I already knew, you have to have a very specific talent for wedding photography. I wouldn't mine assisting on some just to see how its done - Might be worth having a chat to a certain very talented photographer I know LOL. It was a lovely weekend though and I can't wait to go back to see Zowie and the girls and take some more shots of them.

Addicted to Black and White

Loving black and white. Bradley has dry skin and chapped lips at the moment, and is still really pasty from being ill last week. Loved the eyes in the colour version of this picture but the skin and lips made him look quite unwell. Had a little tweek in photoshop and coverted to Black and white and I am loving it.

Thank Goodness for Photoshop
